Readymade Range Solutions
Zen Shoot House is designed to train combat troops in close-quarters battle situations within a built-up area. The Shoot House facility enables soldiers to carry out indoor live-fire engagements to practice room intervention/clearing drills.
The system is also equipped for two-sided tactical training exercises with simulated (non-live) fire. This enables live-fire training as well as laser-based two-sided opposed training.
The facility, which may be constructed as a concrete and brick/masonry structure or as a modular steel structure, includes ballistic protection and other essential features. It can be a single or multi-story structure with an area layout as per the user’s requirements. The structure is secure, bullet-proof, and ensures complete safety for trainees. In the ‘Modular, Stand-alone’ version, the Shoot House is constructed with modular ballistic panels and an open roof with an instructor catwalk.
Features :
- Creates a realistic and dynamic live-fire training environment
- Ballistic paneling enables 360-degree internal live fire with up to high-velocity small arms (5.56 and 7.62 mm)
- Includes various rubber/fiber sheet targets, both static and multifunction, as well as realistic rubber furniture/equipment/props suited to the exercise setting
- Includes sliding/pivoting walls and ballistic door/window sections to quickly change internal layout
- Strategically placed video cameras to monitor and record all actions for After Action Review (AAR)
- Intercommunication system between instructor/control station and trainees
- High-end safety and security system with fire-retardant materials to ensure compliance with international safety standards
- Live-fire facility may also be used for two-sided tactical exercises using laser fire instead of live fire

Zen Containerized Ranges are built into standard 40-foot shipping containers for easy portability and deployment. These are ‘plug-and-play’ shooting ranges for live fire of handguns and rifles and include state-of-the-art Bullet Containment Traps (BCT) housed in a separate container attached at the target end.
The ranges enable two shooters to fire all types of personal weapons, from pistols to rifles, and engage targets projected on a self-sealing rubber membrane. Targets may be any picture or video, computer-generated scenario, snap target, or static range target, as per the training requirements. User-created videos can also be authored within minutes and included in exercises for training on real-life scenarios and for anti-terrorist training. The perspective of the projected target simulates different ranges.
The system includes a ventilation system, acoustic headphones for the shooters for communication with the instructor, and soundproofing of the container to enable use of the ranges in urban environments.
Hits are instantly recorded and displayed on the firing point display panel and at the control station. The control station includes detailed analytical software that delivers recording, monitoring, scoring, analysis, and correction/guidance.
The system supports all types of small arms ammunition used in personal weapons, both subsonic and supersonic, including 5.56, 7.62, and 9 mm calibers. Zen offers two versions, namely the Zen Containerized Tubular Shooting Range (Zen CTSR) and Zen Containerized Indoor Shooting Range (Zen CISR).
Features (CTSR) :
- Two separate firing lanes enabling trainees to fire in standing, kneeling, or prone positions
- The system replicates standard classification range targets at distances up to 300 m
Features (CISR) :
- Enables two shooters to simultaneously engage targets projected on an 8’x6′ screen
- Targets can be presented as a normal two-lane classification range, as part of a virtual tactical scenario, or as a live video feed
- Targets can be depicted at ranges from 10 m to 2200 m, allowing for the use of telescopic sights
- Can also be used as a virtual simulation firing range with replica/modified weapons
